What is on-demand child care?

At Brella you can book and pay for child care by the hour. There are no long-term contracts, enrollments, or minimums. You will be able to schedule and book this care through our mobile app.

 

How do I schedule child care at Brella?

You can schedule through our mobile app. You may book up to 60 days in advance. Our mobile app will be available for iPhone and Android later this summer. Sign up for our emails or follow us on Instragram for information on how to download our app as well as when you can start scheduling child care.

What ages do you accept?

We will accept children from ages 3 months to 6 years.

Monday: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM

Tuesday: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM

Wednesday: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM

Thursday: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM- 10:00 PM

Saturday: 7:00 AM-10:00 PM

Sunday: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM

How much does Brella Cost?

$25/hour. Hourly plans will be available for a discounted hourly price. 

 

Who can drop off or pick up my child?

You can identify approved caregivers who may drop off or pick up your child. In order to pick up a child, a caregiver must have our mobile pick-up app so they can be matched to the child.

 

How long can my child stay at Brella?

Children can stay for as little as one hour or the whole day. We recommend that children stay no longer than 10 hours as any longer can be an especially long day for them.

 

What will my child do at Brella?

Children are separated into age-appropriate classrooms. Children will rotate through 6 imaginative spaces including our Nursery (3-18 month olds only), Library, Art Lab, Creative Playroom, Playground, and Movement Studio. Each hour includes child-centered and adult-lead activities that promote art, science, dramatic play, early literacy and gross motor skills. 

 

Who will care for my child at Brella?

Brella’s child care staff is comprised of highly trained and experienced teachers. We perform background checks on all of our staff iand ensure they meet the strictest safety guidelines. Most teachers will be full-time, so your child may recognize a familiar face when they visit Brella.

 

Can I leave Brella while my child is there?

Yes. Parents may leave Brella while their child is in our care.

 

Is there anything for adults to do at Brella?

Yes. Our family lounge will have free Wi-Fi. Or you can choose to book a private desk or conference room through our mobile app if you need to be more productive. You can also attend one of our classes or events, which we schedule throughout the week.

 

Can I drop in without a reservation?

Yes. We will accept last minute drop-ins, pending availability. However, we recommend booking in advance to ensure a space.

 

Will my child eat at Brella?

Brella serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as regular snacks throughout the day. If your child is scheduled during a mealtime at Brella, you will be notified at the time of booking and can choose to purchase a meal. We do not allow outside food at Brella. For older children (toddler/preschool), meals will be served family-style and will include fresh organic vegetables, fruits, grains and proteins. Infants and young toddlers will have the option to have fresh, organic purees. Parents should bring bottles of prepared breastmilk, formula, or other milk for infants.

 

Does Brella accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions?

Yes. Brella is a nut- free center. When you set up your account, you will have the opportunity to note any allergies or dietary preferences (e.g. vegetarian) in your child’s profile. Brella will manage all preferences that are indicated in the account profile.

 

Can my child nap at Brella?

Yes. Brella will offer specific nap times for toddlers and preschool-age children. Infants may nap at any time in cribs in our dedicated napping room.

 

Do you accept children with special needs?

Please contact hello@brellaspace.com so that we may discuss any special needs your family has and whether we are able to accommodate them.

 

Do you accept sick children?

No. Brella is a well-child facility. Children exhibiting symptoms of illness will be separated and a guardian will be contacted to pick them up.

 

What is your sibling policy?

Siblings are welcome at Brella. For families with multiple children, we recommend purchasing a Brella package for a discounted rate that can be applied to all children within the same family.

 

Does my child need to be vaccinated?

Yes. Children must be immunized and their immunization records provided before or at the time of the first booking.
