A typical day at Brella

Children rotate through our center on the hour. Each hour children are presented with a new classroom and new opportunities to play, engage, and learn.

Each hour begins with a brief welcome to introduce any new children who have joined the class. The remainder of the hour includes thematic, developmentally appropriate activities specific to the classroom.

Creative Playroom

Children will participate in imaginative and role-play activities among a number of centers and props, such as play kitchens, building materials, and even a stage.

Playground & Studio

This large space promotes gross motor movement, as the children can climb on our play-structure, run, and play sports and games. Children may also be led in group movement classes, such as dance, yoga, meditation, and martial arts, in the adjacent studio. Our studio will also serve as a quiet and calming area for children to nap and rest.

Nursery (3-18 months only)

Infants are cared for in a dedicated infant nursery comprised of a playroom and napping room. Toys in the playroom are safe and stimulating, promoting the natural curiosity and development of this age. Music and story time programming is offered throughout the day. The infant napping room is equipped with cribs.

Garden

Children have regular access to a private outdoor garden, where they can help care for the plants and enjoy water play, fresh air, and sunshine.

Meals at Brella

Toddlers and Preschoolers are served three full meals at Brella each day. Our menus were designed by Catherine McCord of Weelicious to be both yummy and packed with a nutritional punch. All toddler and preschool meals are prepared by Whole Foods and are made with fresh, and, when possible, organic ingredients.

Meals are an additional charge and you can select a meal at the time of booking. We can accommodate many allergies and food preferences, which you can specify in our app.

Late Nights at Brella

On Fridays and Saturdays, Brella stays open until 10pm.

If your child is not joining us for dinner at 5PM, please make sure they have had dinner before arriving.

Late nights at Brella begin with a fun, high-energy activity. Over the course of the evening, activities take on a calmer and quieter pace. Towards the end of the evening, children are encouraged to participate in quieter activities and if they need to rest, we provide a comfortable and safe place for them to lie down and fall asleep.
